This footed candy dish pairs a simple, fitted lid and knob with crisp, ribbed pressed glass for a restrained, sculptural presence. Jeannette produced the National pattern from the late 1940s into the mid-1950s, a line known for its utilitarian scale and sharply defined ribbing that suited postwar American tableware. The elevated foot gives the piece balanced proportions while the matching lid keeps the silhouette cohesive; in clear glass it integrates easily into both collected groupings and modern vignettes as a display vessel or everyday serving piece.
