About this item
Handcrafted from clay by Ukrainian artisans in the 1920s, the Feya Ancient Clay Pot is the result of ancient pottery practices unique to the region's culture. In Ukrainian villages, pottery is still used for its intended purposes and families traditionally serve the table with pottery for holiday meals. This pot was used for cooking in the oven, so the bottom of the pot is black. The uneven color tells a story and makes each jug truly unique.
As a handmade vintage find, variations displaying years of life and the artisan’s touch are expected. These one-of-a-kind features are part of the character and charm that we source for.
