About this item
This marigold carnival glass plate brings a warm, iridescent glow to display shelves with its raised eagle‑and‑shield Bicentennial motif.
Made by Indiana Glass Company to commemorate the American Bicentennial (1776–1976), this plate reflects the mid‑century revival of carnival glass collecting that surged in the 1960s and 1970s as manufacturers reissued classic iridescent finishes. The embossed eagle with shield anchors the design with patriotic symbolism, while the marigold surface shifts in tones of gold and amber under changing light. Its eight‑inch size makes it an ideal accent for wall display, plate stands, or curated vintage collections.
