About this item
This Brown Betty–style teapot brings a warm, traditional presence to the table with its glossy chocolate‑brown Rockingham glaze.
Crafted in the spirit of classic English teapots, this piece features the rounded, bulbous form that encourages loose tea leaves to gently circulate as hot water is poured, enhancing both flavor and aroma. Traditional Brown Betty teapots were made from red Etruria marl clay sourced in Staffordshire, a material prized for its heat‑retentive properties and rich coloration. The glossy Rockingham glaze adds depth and warmth, making this teapot an inviting accent for daily brewing or display.
Dimensions are 5" tall and 5" diameter at the widest part of the bowl.
Condition note: A chip exists on the inner rim beneath the lid, not visible when the lid is in place and not extending into the body.
