About this item
This Fred Roberts Japanese floral ceramic teapot with a brown-speckled trim features hand-painted pink and green flowers on white ceramic.
An angular loop handle and upward-curving spout give this Fred Roberts Fat Lava teapot a lively profile, balanced by its broad body and rounded shoulder. Made in Japan during the 1960s or 1970s, it combines stylized floral decoration with textured drip-glaze details. Black outlines and tan borders define the rounded petals, while brown and charcoal speckles gather along the rim and shoulder and continue onto the upper handle, spout tip, and broad knob of the fitted lid. A gold-colored oval Japan sticker remains beneath the base, adding an origin detail to the piece.
Dimensions are 5 in. height x 5 in. diameter (12.7 cm x 12.7 cm).
