This fine‑china collector plate brings a warm, narrative presence with Norman Rockwell’s colonial‑era scene framed by softly reflective gold trim.
The artwork, titled The Journey Home, appears in Rockwell’s Colonials: The Rarest Rockwells series and depicts a colonial couple traveling by horse‑drawn cart, a scene filled with gentle storytelling and expressive detail. Produced by the Edwin M. Knowles China Company in 1987, this plate was issued as the fifth piece in the series and released as a limited edition restricted to a 150‑day firing period. Knowles was widely regarded for its high‑quality American china, and its collaborations with the Rockwell Society helped establish these plates as enduring collectibles. This example includes its original Certificate of Authenticity and is numbered 3884B.
