About this item

Brown glazed stoneware teapot with a squat round profile, domed knobbed lid, short curved spout, and warm mottled brown drip-style glaze.

Brown glazed stoneware teapot with a compact, squat silhouette and an integrated single handle. The domed lid lifts from a rounded kettle profile and is finished with a small knob and vent hole; a short, curved spout and stout body give the piece a classic serving posture. The exterior is a glossy mottled brown and burnt-amber surface with subtle speckling and pooling around joins, kiln-fired production and a drip- or rockingham-style finish. Commonly associated with mid-20th century Brown Betty and studio stoneware examples. Use it as a functional small teapot if the interior is intact and food-safe, or as a warm, rustic accent in the kitchen.

Dimensions are 3.5" tall x 4" diameter at widest part of body.

What to know about buying vintage
  • Pre‑owned condition: Items are vintage and may show surface wear, glaze crazing, small chips, hairline cracks, repair marks, or slight color fading from sun exposure.
  • We disclose flaws: We photograph and describe any notable issues — please review images and the condition notes before buying.
  • Ask for more photos: If you want closeups of a specific mark or the base/markings, message us and we’ll send extra images.
  • Care tip: Hand wash gently; avoid sudden temperature changes to protect glaze and finish.
  • Returns & exceptions: See our full returns policy for details on returns and condition requirements.
