About this item
This Northwood bowl pairs a scalloped rim, clear pressed-glass latticework, and raised oval medallions finished in gold gilt.
The Northwood Memphis Medallions bowl features a footed base, scalloped edge, and a diamond-and-lattice surface framed by raised oval medallions with gold gilt accents. Northwood Glass Company, founded in 1896 in Indiana, Pennsylvania by Harry Northwood, produced pressed-glass tableware and decorative pieces that remain well known to collectors. The design’s textured lattice and medallion pattern create a reflective, display-ready presence that complements cabinet groupings and curated glass collections. The same glass pattern was used by Northwood for the Doll's Eye line in emerald green. The crystal version was issued to offer a more refined higher end feel and tends to be hard to find. These bowls are great for berries, desserts, nuts, candies where you want to offer an elegant and classy feel to your table.
Dimensions are 2 in. height x 4.5 in. diameter (5.08 cm x 11.43 cm).
Condition note: 100 years old & still in great shape. The gold gilt is mostly intact on all the pieces, but with the age there is some light fading. No chips, cracks or scratches have been observed.
