Dieser feine Sammelteller aus Porzellan bringt eine warme, erzählende Präsenz mit Norman Rockwells Szene aus der Kolonialzeit, eingerahmt von einem sanft reflektierenden Goldrand.
Das Kunstwerk mit dem Titel Words of Comfort ist Teil von Rockwells Serie Colonials: The Rarest Rockwells und fängt die stille emotionale Erzählung ein, die Rockwells spätere illustrative Arbeiten definierte. Dieser Teller wurde 1986 von der Edwin M. Knowles China Company produziert und als zweites Stück der Serie herausgegeben und als limitierte Auflage, beschränkt auf 150 Brenntage, veröffentlicht. Knowles war weithin bekannt für sein hochwertiges amerikanisches Porzellan, und seine Zusammenarbeit mit der Rockwell Society trug dazu bei, diese Teller als dauerhafte Sammlerstücke zu etablieren.
